Abdu Muhammed Yaro is a Professor of Agricultural Economics at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil, Kano State.

He got his Bachelor and Master degrees from A.B.U. Zaria and later successfully earned his Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from Bayero University, Kano. Prof. Yaro has vast experiences in teaching, research, consultancy and community services that cut across public and private sectors especially in developing marketing plans, value chain development and analysis, agricultural policy analysis and agribusiness development and financial analysis. He is also well experienced in panel, survey and time series data analysis. His research interests include but not limited tovalue chain development, public policy analysis and agribusiness development and analysis. He was recently involved with training of participants from APPEALS and IFAD Projects in the Northwest of Nigeria. Prof. Yaro had
attended many workshops and conferences within and outside Nigeria. He was a former Head of Department and currently Dean of Faculty of Agriculture. Moreover, he is presently the Financial Secretary of Nigeria Association of Agricultural Economists and is married with children. He is the Vice President
of the Association of Deans of Agriculture in Nigeria Universities.
