Prof. Adeyinka A ODUNSI

Prof. Adeyinka A ODUNSI is a recipient of the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (FNIAS),

Postgraduate College of Animal Science, Nigeria (FCASN), Animal Science Association of Nigeria (FASAN), Registered Animal Scientist (RAS) and Professor of Animal Nutrition at the Ladoke Akintola
University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He has his B. Sc, M. Sc and Ph. D degrees from the premier University of Ibadan, Ibadan,
Nigeria. He has been involved in the teaching of various courses in the field of animal nutrition, biotechnology, production, products and management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 1989. His research interests include investigations on tropical and under-utilised alternative feed resources, applications of enzyme and phytogenic feed additives, quality standards in monogastric animal nutrition and products, eggs & hatchery science and
climate-nutrition studies. He has also made modest contributions to Japanese quail development in Nigeria. He is a mentor and supervisor to junior academics, undergraduate and graduate students at various stages of their programmes. Prof Odunsi is a reviewer, assessor and external examiner to various
universities, professional agencies and other higher educational bodies in Nigeria and overseas. He has published extensively in the field of Animal Science (>100 published journal articles) and collaborates very well with other researchers. Administratively in LAUTECH, Prof Odunsi has served as Head of
Department of Animal Production & Health (3years), Director of Academic Planning (4years) and Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Science (4 years) among other responsibilities. He was a former Vice Chairman, Association of Deans of Faculties of Agriculture in Nigerian Universities (ADAN). Currently, he is a
member of Board of Trustees (BOT) of ADAN, Editor in Chief, Nigerian Journal of Animal Science (NJAS) and Editor in Chief, ADAN Journal of Agriculture.

it is a non-stock, non-profit organization with Deans of different Universities as members, As an association, it envisioned itself as innovative, competent and empowered in leading institutions achieve excellence in agriculture education for national and global development.

The Association is made up of those Universities in Nigeria that offer a degree course in agriculture or related agricultural areas. In Nigeria there are currently thirteen such Universities, spread across every State and located in both metropolitan and rural locations.
