Welcome to The Association of Deans of Agriculture in Nigeria Universities (“ADAN”).

We welcome you with great honor to the official website of the Association of Deans of Agriculture in Nigeria Universities (“ADAN”). An association whose Membership are from the Provost and Deans of all Faculties of Agriculture of Nigeria Universities, i.e. Federal, State and Private Universities. Strategically, we are geared towards supporting and establishing agriculture and agricultural technology programs in Nigeria Universities and in particular, Promoting and enhancing the training of agriculture graduates to be equipped with skills for self-reliance, Ensuring uniform curricula in the various fields, options or specializations of Agriculture, Promoting and enhancing collaborations with relevant Research Institutes/Bodies in the training of students of agriculture during the Field Practical Training year and to pursue with other related and relevant bodies the registration of Agriculture as a professional and sustenance of same. Furthermore, we affirm our strong belief in undertaking any other activities which will draw the various governments’ attention to redirect serious attention to the contribution of agriculture to the economy.

The ADAN Journal of Agriculture (ADAN J. Agric) is published by The Association of Deans of Agriculture in Nigeria Universities (ADAN). Our editorial goal is to publish current and emerging issues in all areas of agriculture and related disciplines, and also provide a forum of exchange and interface between researchers and all stakeholders. The journal will publish original research works, reviews and occasionally invited papers that has not been previously published or being considered for publication in other medium. The journal will be published in one volume of two issues per year and operate on peer-review process, charging appropriate Article Processing Fee to cover cost of publication and incidental expenses.

it is a non-stock, non-profit organization with Deans of different Universities as members, As an association, it envisioned itself as innovative, competent and empowered in leading institutions achieve excellence in agriculture education for national and global development.

The Association is made up of those Universities in Nigeria that offer a degree course in agriculture or related agricultural areas. In Nigeria there are currently thirteen such Universities, spread across every State and located in both metropolitan and rural locations.
